Jeff Pentz has been studying and teaching martial arts since 1968. He was awarded a black belt in the art of Korean Tang Soo Do - Moo Duk Kwan from Grand Master Lynn Jackson. He has studied Kung Fu with Master Hu Lin of Houston, Texas. Jeff studied Wu Tai Chi with Thomas Huang and Yang Tai Chi with Scott Rodell, Will Chen and Tom Baeli. Jeff’s currently studies Chi Gung, Tai Chi, Hsing-I and Paqua from his teacher Master Kao.
During a trip to Mainland China Jeff studied with Yang Zhen-Duo, the great grandson of the founder of the Yang style of Tai Chi and in Taiwan he studied with Wang Yen Nien, who at 95 years old, has been studying and teaching Tai chi for over sixty years. Jeff has also attended Tai Chi workshops and classes with Master Ben Lo, Dr. Tao, Y.C. Wong, Wai Lun Huang, Wai Lun Choi and Master William C.C. Chen. He has taught Tai Chi Chuan through numerous adult education classes and at his school in Seminole, Florida. As a frequent tournament participant, Jeff has won two national titles, two “A Taste of China” push hands competitions and numerous other first places in Tai Chi Chuan form and push hands. Jeff currently judges form and push hands competition at numerous tournaments throughout the United States.
